AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE PARKS IMPROVEMENT FUND BY
$40,000 00 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ACCEPTING A DONATION FOR LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS TO
THE ROLLING HILLS PARK SOCCER COMPLEX, PROVIDING FOR
A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE
CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL
PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2001/02 in
the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in
the Parks Improvement Fund by $40,000 00 from available funds for the purpose of accepting a
donation for lighting improvements to the Rolling Hills Park Soccer Complex.
SECTION 2
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared mvahd, inoperative or void
for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way
impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining
provisions shall be and remain m full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 14745 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except m those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in
direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, mwhich instance said conflicting
provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

SUBJECT ACCEPTANCE OF DONATION FOR LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS TO THE ROLLING
HILLS PARK SOCCER COMPLEX
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Accept a $40,000 donation from the Fort Worth Adult Soccer Association for soccer field lighting
improvements, and
2 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by
$40,000 in the Park Improvements Fund from available funds, and
3 Authorize the City Manager to apply these funds toward the proposed lighting improvements at the
Rolling Hills Park soccer complex.
DISCUSSION
The 1998 Capital Improvement Program allocated $900,000 for the Master Plan Design and Phase I
development of a multi-field soccer complex at Rolling Hills Park
On March 28, 2000 (M&C C-17962), the City Council authorized the City Manager to execute a
construction contract with Randall & Blake, Inc. for soccer field improvements The remaining capital
funds totaling $130,000 in combination with this donation will light two additional soccer fields
It is recommended that the City Council accept this donation for additional field lighting improvements to
be accomplished by the Transportation. and Public Works Department.
The estimated annual impact on the General Fund budget beginning FY2001-2002 for lighting two
additional fields will amount to $16,600
The Rolling Hills Park soccer complex is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8
