HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 15194:., ~ u Ordinance No. ~~~~ AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GRANTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $351,014 FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING A FAIR HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM COOPERATNE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE FORT WORTH HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION AND THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATNE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTNE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS. SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2001-02 in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants Fund in the amount of $351,014 for the purpose funding a Fair Housing Assistance Program Cooperative Agreement between the Fort Worth Human Relations Commission and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. SECTION 2. That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or Iudgment shall ui no way unpair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 14745 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in duect conflict with such other ordinances and appropriafions, m which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. City of Fort Worth, Texas Mayor and Council Communication DATE REFERENCE NUMBER LOG NAME PAGE 8/13/02 **C-19192 07FHAP 1 of 2 SUBJECT ACCEPTANCE OF A FAIR HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT_BETWEEN TH_E .F_ORT WORTH HUMAN_ RELATIONS_COM_MISSION AND THE 1lJ_S DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND ADOPTION OF RELATED APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council 1 Authorize the City Manager to accept the Cooperative Agreement between the Fort Worth Human Relations Commission and the U S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the amount of $351,014, and 2 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants Fund by $351,014 DISCUSSION HUD has agreed to partially reimburse the Fort Worth Human Relations Commission for each complaint resolution performed in accordance with the Criteria for Processing as outlined in the Cooperative Agreement.
