ORDINANCE NO. /~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING THE 1100
AND 1200 BLOCK OF CRAWFORD STREET; THE 300 BLOCK
OF MAGNOLIA AVENUE, THE 1100 BLOCK OF BRYAN
STREET, AND THE 200-300 BLOCK OF OLEANDER STREET,
ROSEDALE ADDITION AND MAX K. MAYERS ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That Crawford Street between Magnolia Avenue and East Rosedale and located
adjacent to Blocks O, K, L(2) and P of the Rosedale Addition, recorded in Volume 32,
page 30, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, that Magnolia Avenue from Crawford
Street. to Gulf-Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad Track to the East, and adjacent to Blocks
P of the Rosedale Addrtton, recorded m Volume 32, Page 380, Deed Records, Tarrant
County, Texas and Lot 1-R, Block T of the Rosedale Addition, recorded in Volume 388-
187, Page 65, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, that Bryan Street between East
Rosedale Street and Oleander Street adjacent to Blocks J and K of the Rosedale Addition,
recorded in Volume M32, Page 389, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and that
Oleander Street between Bryan Street and the Golf-Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad
Tracks to the East adjacent to Blocks O, K, P, L(2), and Max K. Mayers Lots A through
P and Lot R being a portion of Block L of the Rosedale Addition, recorded m Volume
106, Page 143, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing approximately

100,294 square feet of land, as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference be and the same are vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land m the above described vacated street nghts-of--way is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of a.ts passage, and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating the 1100 and 1200 Blocks of
Crawford Street, Blocks O, K, L (2) and P of the Rosedale Addition, Page 30, Deed Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, the 300 Block of Magnolia Avenue, Block P of the Rosedale Addition, Volume 32, Page
380, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and Lot 1-R, Block T of the Rosedale Addition, Volume 388-
187, Page 65, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas; the 1100 Block of Bryan Street, Blocks J and K, of
the Rosedale Addition, Volume M32, Page 389, Deed Records, Tarrant County Texas, the 200 and 300
Blocks of Oleander Street, Blocks O, K, P, L (2) and Max K. Mayers Addition, Lots A through P, and Lot R,
in Block L of the Rosedale Addition, Volume 106, Page 143, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and
containing approximately 100,294 square feet of land
DISCUSSION
John Peter Smith Hospital, owners of the above described adjacent property, has requested vacation of
the streets for the purpose of facilities expansion for a woman's health center All utilities and related
facilities have been relocated or otherwise compensated for by the applicant.
On July 28, 1999, the City Plan Commission recommended this property for approval
The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the
public interest. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have .raised no objections to
this request. An acceptable replat has been received
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds
