ORDINANCE NO. /S~ ~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A FLOODWAY
EASEMENT OF VARIABLE LENGTH AND WIDTH LOCATED AT LOT
14, BLOCK 8, WESTVIEW ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the floodway easement of variable length and width and containing
approximately 1,384 square feet, located at Lot 14, Block 8 of Westview Addition, as
recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 6229, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as more
specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference, be and the same is vacated and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described floodway easement is hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption

Being a portion of the existing 100 year floodway easement in Lot 14, Block 8, Westview Addition to the
City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, according to the plat recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 6229, Plat
Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point that is located South 00 degrees 59 minutes 44 seconds West along the Western
line of said Lot 14 a distance of 48 87 feet from the most Northerly Northwest corner of said Lot;
THENCE North 50 degrees 11 minutes 13 seconds East a distance of 34 67 feet to a point in the
Northerly line of said Lot 14, said point being located South 44 degrees 01 minutes 51 seconds East a
distance of 37 09 feet from said most Northerly Northwest corner of said Lot;
THENCE South 44 degrees 01 minutes 51 seconds East along said Northerly line of Lot a distance of
18 61 feet to a point in said East line of existing 100 year floodway easement;
THENCE South 26 degrees 25 minutes 51 seconds West along said easterly line of floodway easement
a distance of 34 83 feet to a angle point in said easement;
THENCE South 51 degrees 36 minutes 31 seconds West along said easement line a distance of 31 63
feet to a point in the Westerly line of-said Lot 14,
THENCE North 00 degrees 59 minutes 44 seconds East along the Westerly line of said Lot 14 a distance
of 42.02 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 1384 square feet.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating two 102 50 feet by 1
foot utility easements along Lots 21 and 23, Block 9, containing 102 50 square feet each, Harvest
Ridge Addition, being part of the Jose Chirino Survey, Abstract No 265, situated in the northern part of
Fort Worth in Tarrant County, Texas, and being a portion of Harvest Ridge Addition, an addition to the
City of Fort Worth, as recorded by the plat filed in Cabinet A, Slide 7164, Plat Records, Tarrant County,
Texas
DISCUSSION
Weekley Homes, L.P and Horizon Homes, Ltd , owners of the above described property, have
requested vacation of these utility easements to facilitate replatting with the adjoining land and to
expand yard area.
The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the
public interest. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to
this request. An acceptable replat has been received
