AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEII'TS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE
WATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $99,751 AND IN THE SEWER CAPITAL
PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $107,896.50 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE
PURPOSE OF FUNDING AN ENGINEERING AGREEMENT TO DUNAWAY ASSOCIATES, INC.,
TO DESIGN WATER AND SANITARY SEWER LINES FOR GREENWAY ADDITION MODEL
BLOCK, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATNE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING
ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTNE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 2001-02 and in the Budget of
the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund in the
amount of $99,751 and in the Sewer Capital Projects fund in the amount of $107,896.50 from available funds for the purpose
of funding an engineering agreement to Dunaway Associates, Inc., to design water and sanitary sewer lines for Greenway
Addition Model Block.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections,
or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 14745 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the
same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and
appropriations, mwhich instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordmances and appropriations are hereby expressly
repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
Authorize the City Manager to transfer $207,647 50 from the Water and Sewer Operating Fund to
the Water Capital Project Fund in the amount of $99,751 00 and the Sewer Capital Project Fund in
the amount of $107,896 50, and
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Water Capital Project Fund in the amount of $99,751 00 and the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the
amount of $107,896.50 from available funds, and
3 Authorize the City Manager to execute an engineering agreement with Dunaway Associates, Inc.
to design water and sanitary sewer lines for Greenway Addition Model Block in the amount of
$203,647 50
DISCUSSION
On July 11, 2000 (M&C C-18120), the City Council authorized reallocation of $400,000 00 in FY2000
Home Investment Partnerships Program funds, and $800,000 00 in Year XXVI Community
Development Block Grants (CDBG) funds for a total of $1,200,000 00 to the Greenway .Model Blocks
(GMB) program for reconstruction of roadways, gutters, curbs and sidewalks of the following streets.
Portland Avenue
Delga Street
Maple Street
Leota Street
Glenmore Avenue
Greenfield Avenue
(Delga Street to Leota Street)
(Leota Street to Nixon Street)
(Delga Street to Greenfield Street)
(Delga Street to Glenmore Avenue)
(North Freeway to west dead end)
(I-35W to west dead end)
The Water Department has determined that the existing water and sanitary sewer lines in the above
streets are in need of replacement prior to street reconstruction Dunaway Associates, Inc., located at
1501 Merrimac Circle, Suite 100, Fort Worth, proposes to perform the engineering services for
$203,647 50 City staff considers this fee to be fair and reasonable for the scope of services proposed
Dunaway Associates, Inc. is in compliance with the City's M/WBE Ordinance by committing to 19%
M/V1/BE participation The City's goal on this project is 19%
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8, Mapsco 63N and P

In addition to the contract amount, $4,000 00 is required for a study review by the Engineering
Department.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that upon approval and completion of recommendation No 1 and
adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the current capital budgets,
as appropriated, of the Water Capital Project Fund and the Sewer Capital Project Fund
