Ordinance No. ~ ~o
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE
GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $90,000 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE
OF FUNDING THE PURCHASE OF LIBRARY MATERIALS, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE
CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That m addition to those amounts allocated to the vanous City departments for the Fiscal Year 2000-01 and in the Budget of
the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the General Fund in the amount of
$90,000 from available funds for the purpose of funding the purchase of library materials.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a
court of competent ~unsdichon, such decision, opinion or judgment shall m no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or
parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 14286 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the
same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and
appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly
repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND, ADDIE LEVY TRUST PROJECT
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by
$80,000 in the Special Gift Fund, Library Books-Resale Proceeds Projects, and $10,000 in the
Special Trust Fund, Addie Levy Trust Project; and
2 Approve the transfer of $80,000 from the Special Gift Fund, Library Books-Resale Proceeds
Projects, and $10,000 from the Special Trust Fund, Addie Levy Trust Project to the General Fund,
and
3 Adopt the attached supplemental appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations by $90,000 in the General Fund from available funds
DISCUSSION
In order to purchase the library materials (including books, videos, CDs, audio books and sound
cassettes to supplement the General Fund materials budget) intended by these proceeds and income,
funds must be approved for allocation and expenditure Section 252 022(a)(7)(a) and Section 252.022
(a)(8) of the Texas Local Government Code excludes these purchases from competitive bidding and
competitive proposal requirements
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the
attached appropriation ordinances, funds will be available in the current operating budget, as
appropriated, of the General Fund
