ORDINANCE NO. ~ ,~ ~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A 16 FOOT WIDE BY 250 FOOT LONG ALLEY
CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 4,000 SQUARE FEET, AND
LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE EAST SIDE OF LOTS D
THROUGH R, BLOCK T, STANDFORD SUBDIVISION, IN THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH; TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS
. SECTION 1.
That a 16 foot wide by 250 foot long alley containing approximately 4,000 square
feet, and located adjacent to the east side of Lots D through R, Block T, Standford
Subdivision to the City Fort Worth, Texas, as recorded in Volume 388-205, Page 13, Plat
Records, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described in
Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is
vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described alley is hereby released and shall

revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances m conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be m full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 16-foot wide by 250-
foot long alley containing approximately 4,000 square feet, more or less, located adjacent to the east
side of Lots D through R, Block T, Stanford Subdivision, as recorded in Volume 388-205, Page 13, Plat
Records, Tarrant County, Texas.
DISCUSSION
John Peter Smith Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas, owners of the adjacent property to the above described
alley, have requested vacation of the said alley to allow for hospital parking expansion The alley is
currently semi-improved, and arrangements have been made for the relocation of existing utilities. The
City Plan Commission recommended vacation approval at its meeting on July 28, 1999, and the Fort
Worth Southside Development District also endorses the applicant's request.
The Engineering Department, Real Property Management Division has determined that a fee of $1 00
is required of a taxing entity public service request. Reviewing City departments and public utility
companies have raised no objections to this request. An acceptable replat has been received
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 9
