ORDINANCE NO. ~~$~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A 4-FOOT WIDE
BY VARIABLE LENGTH ROADWAY EASEMENT ALONG THE EAST
SIDE OF CLIFTON STREET AND EXTENDING BETWEEN THE ALLEY
NORTH OF DARCY STREET TO THE ALLEY SOUTH OF DARCY
STREET, LOCATED IN LOT 11 R, BLOCKS 3 AND 3R AND BLOCK 6,
VAN ZANDT HILLSIDE ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS, AND VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A 5-FOOT UTILITY
EASEMENT LOCATED IN LOT 3R, BLOCK 6, VAN ZANDT HILLSIDE
ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT a 4-foot wide by variable length roadway easement lying along the east
side of Clifton Street, and extending between the alley north of Darcy Street to the alley
south of Darcy Street, located in Lot 11 R, Block 3 and 3R, Block 6, Van Zandt Hillside
Addition, Fort Worth, Texas, along with the attendant public open space easements at
Darcy Street, as recorded in Volume 388-214, Page 52, Plat Records of Tarrant
County, Texas, and containing 1,864 square feet of land, and a 5-foot utility easement
located in Lot 3R, Block 6 of the Van Zandt Hillside Addition, Fort Worth, Texas, as
recorded in Volume 388-214, Page ~52, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as
more specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein, by
reference be and the same are vacated and extinguished

SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility and roadway
easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

BEING a 0.014 of an acre 4-foot easement for roadway purposes situated in the John P Montgomery
Survey, Abstract No 1030, the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas and a portion of that certain tract
of land described as Lot 11R, Block 3, VANZANDT HILLSIDE ADDITION, an addition to the City of
Fort Worth, recorded in Volume 388-214, Page 52, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas (PRTCT), said
0 014 of an acre tract of land being more particularly described as follows.
BEGINNING at the southwest corner of said Lot 11R, same being the point of intersection of the northerly
right-of-way line of Darcy Street (a 60-foot right-of-way) with the easterly right-of-way line of Clifton

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating the following
easements
• A 4-foot wide by variable length roadway easement lying along the east side of Clifton Street,
and extending between the alley north of Darcy Street to the alley south of Darcy Street, located
in Lot 11 R, Blocks 3, 3R and 6, Van Zandt Hillside Addition, Fort Worth, Texas, along with the
attendant public open space easements at Darcy Street, as recorded in Volume 388-214, Page
52, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing 1,864 square feet of land, and
• A 5-foot utility easement located in Lot 3R, Block 6 of the Van Zandt Hillside Addition, Fort
Worth, Texas, as recorded in Volume 388-214, Page 52, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas
DISCUSSION
The University of North Texas Health Science Center, owner of the above-described adjacent property,
has requested vacation of the said easements to allow for the construction of a parking garage and
improved site traffic circulation
The Engineering Department, Real Property Management Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy
the public interest.
Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request. An
acceptable replat has been received
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
