ORDINANCE NO ~~v ~ / AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING SUNSET DRIVE LOCATED BETWEEN WESTRIDGE AVENUE AND MILBURN STREET IN THE RIDGLEA APARTMENTS ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS, AND VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING WINTHROP AVENUE LOCATED BETWEEN MILBURN STREET AND WESTRIDGE AVENUE IN BLOCK A, RIDGLEA APARTMENTS ADDITION AND BLOCK B, RIDGEWAY MANORS NUMBER 3 ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-WITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTVE DATE BE IT GRAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS• SECTION 1 THAT a 50-foot wide by variable length street known as Sunset Drive, including public open space easement, located between Westridge Avenue and Milburn Street in the Ridglea Apartments Addition, Fort Worth, Texas, as recorded in Volume 388-D, Page 53, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and a 50-foot wide variable length street, known as Winthrop Avenue, including associated public open space easements, located between Milburn Street and Westridge Avenue, in Block A of the Ridglea Apartments Addition, Fort Worth, Texas, as recorded in Volume 388-D, Page 53, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and in Block B of the Ridgeway Manors Number 3 Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-L, Page 3, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same are vacated and extinguished C V 1: ;V.,.,.~n SECTION 2. d.: ~+ That the fee to the land in the above described vacated streets are hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law SECTION 3. DISCUSSION Corrigan Real Estate Services, Dallas, Texas, owners of the above-described adjacent property have requested vacation of the said streets to enable office building site expansion The right-of-ways contain telephone, electric, sewer, water, and gas utilities, storm drainage and paving with curbs and gutters The streets were dedicated by plat and contained related public open space easements where they intersect with Milburn Street and Westridge Avenue. Utilities and drainage are protected by an appropriate easement as shown on the re-plat. The Engineering Department, Real Property Management Division stated that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the public interest as the street was dedicated to the City Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request. An acceptable replat has been received The Plan Commission has reviewed and recommended approval of the street vacations.
