ORDINANCE NO. /~/5~,
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A 10-FOOT BY 170-FOOT UTILITY EASEMENT,
LINKWOOD ESTATES ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND,
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
That the 10-foot by 170-foot utility easement, containing approximately 1,700
square feet, more or less, situated in Lots 24 and 25, Block 9, Linkwood Estates
Addition, as rec~rded in Volume 388-7, Page 87, Deed Records of Tarrant County,
Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and
permanently extinguished
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption

Description fora 10' utility easement to be vacated, said easement being a portion of
Lots 24 and 25, Block 9, Linkwood Estates, an addition to the City of Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas, being more particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows•
Beginning at a point in the south line of Linkcrest Drive South for the northwest
corner of Lot 25 same being the northeast corner of Lot 24, said. point being
N.89°52'W., 85.0 feet from a 3/8" rebar rod found (Control Monument) for the
northeast corner of Lot 25;
Thence 5.00°08'W., 170.0 feet along the east line of said easement to a point in the
north line of a Park same being the south line of Lot 25, said point being
N.89%%D52'W., 85.0 feet from a 1/2" rebar rod found (Control Monument) for the
southeast corner of Lot 25;
Thence N.89°52'W., 10.0 feet along the south line of Lot 25 same being the north
line of said Park to a point;
Thence N.00°08'E.,170.0 feet along the west line of said easement to a point in the
south line of Linkcrest Drive South same being the north line of Lot 24,

Thence 5.89°52'E., 10 0 feet along said line to the point of beginning and containing
1,700 square feet of land more or less.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 10-foot by 170-foot
utility easement, situated in Lots 24 and 25, Block 9, Linkwood Estates Addition, as recorded in Volume
388-7, Page 87, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing approximately 1,700 square
feet, more or less.
DISCUSSION
K. D Zimmerman (Lot 24), and Mike Escobedo (Lot 25), of Block 9 of the Linkwood Estates Addition to
the City of Fort Worth, owners of the afore-described property, have requested vacation of the above-
referenced utility easement to enable the construction of a house over the two lots
An existing water line was relocated at the owners' expense, and the Engineering Department, Real
Property Management Division states that the acquisition fee of $1 00 will satisfy the public interest.
Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request. An
acceptable replat has been received
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7
