AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE
GRANT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $22,222 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
FUNDING PHASE II OF THE NOISE MITIGATION PROGRAM AT FORT WORTH ALLIANCE
AIItPORT, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND
REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 2001-02 and in the Budget of
the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations m the Grant Fund in the amount of
$22,222 from available funds for the purpose of funding Phase II of the Noise Mitigation Program at Fort Worth Alliance
Airport.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections,
or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 14286 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the
same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and
appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly
repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Authorize the use of land credits in the amount of $22,222 for assistance in acquiring land and
purchasing avigation easements pursuant to a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant under
the Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 150 Noise Study for Fort Worth Alliance Airport; and
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Grants Fund by $22,222
DISCUSSION
On July 31, 2001 (M&C L-13108), the City Council authorized the City Manager to accept a grant from
the FAA in the amount of $1,800,000 The purpose of this grant was to assist the City in covering 90%
of the costs involved in acquiring land and purchasing avigation easements as part of the FAR Part 150
Noise Study for Fort Worth Alliance Airport.
The City Council also authorized the use of land credits in the amount of $200,000 for the City's 10% in-
kind match required by that grant. Therefore, the total project amount under the grant would be
$2,000,000
On August 3, 2001, the FAA notified the City that the amount of its grant will actually be $2,000,000,
rather than $1,800,000 Since the FAA's grant is limited to 90% of a project cost, this larger grant
means that the total project amount covered by the grant will be $2,222,222
Therefore, the City's 10% in-kind match must be increased to $222,222, from the $200,000 That the City
Council originally authorized Sufficient land credits remain from the original land donation for Fort
Worth Alliance Airport to cover this increase in the City's in-kind local match requirement.
