The persons being demoted will be the most recently promoted battalion chief, captain, lieutenant, and engineer They will be placed on a reinstatement list that will be in effect until the persons are promoted, or for one year, whichever comes first. Those employees have been notified of the process to be followed, and are aware of the implications. The deletion of the position referred to above would result in the following change in the authorized strength of the Fire Department: Rank Current Proaosed Deputy Chief 3 3 Battalion Chief 24 23'` r Captain 79 79 Lieutenant 110 110 Engineer 176 176 ~; Firefighter 355 355 Total 747 746 F~, *Deletion of one (1) battalion chief position City of Fort Worth, Texas ~1-~nyor nn~l c~un~il a~~un;cnt~~n C DATE 8/21/01 REFERENCE NUMBER **G-13346 LOG NAME 36DELETE PAGE 2 of 2 SUBJECT ORDINANCE ADJUSTING THE AUTHORIZED CIVIL SERVICE STAFFING IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT BY DELETING ONE BATTALION CHIEF POSITION FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION The Finance Director certifies that funds are available in the current operating budget, as appropriated, of the General Fund LW n Submitted for City Manager's FUND ACCOUNT CENTER AMOUNT CITY SECRETARY Office by: (to) DROVED Libby Watson 6183 CITY GOUNCIL Originating Department Head: AUG ~1 2~~1 H.
