ORDINANCE NO.~(~.~~-,
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING THREE PRIVATE
DRIVES, TAXIWAYS AND EMERGENCY ACCESS EASEMENTS ON
LOTS 35 THRU 38, BLOCK 4, HICKS AIRFIELD, SECTION 3, AN
ADDITION, IN TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,

TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT three 60-foot wide private drives, taxiways and emergency access
easements, being 159 84, 159 90 feet and 160 05-feet long, respectively, located
between Lots 35 through 38, Block 4, Hicks Airfield, Section 3, an Addition in Tarrant
County, Texas, and as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 5273, Plat Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated private drives, taxiways
and emergency access easements are hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby

repealed

SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

- and the G.A. CRINER SURVEY;---ABSTRACT -NO 1110, -Tarrant County, Texas, said
easements being a porta.on of that same tract of land as described in deed to
Expedition__investments, L.L.C., a Texas limited liability company as recorded
in Volume 13836, Page 156, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, also being a
portion of Lots 35 thru 38, Block 4, Hicks Airfield, Section- 3, an Addition in

most easterly corner of said Lot 36, also being the most northerly corner of

THENCE South 62 degrees 20 minutes 39 seconds West with the common boundary
line between said Lots 35 and 36, 160 05 feet to a i/2 inch capped steel rod
stamped "MOAK SURV INC" set for the most westerly corner of said Lot 35, also

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating three 60-foot wide
private drives, taxiways and emergency access easements, being 159 90 feet, 159 84 feet and 160 05
feet long, respectively, located between Lots 35 thru E38, Block 4, Hicks Airfield Addition, as recorded in
Cabinet A, Slide 5273 of the Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas (Exhibit A)
DISCUSSION
Expedition Investments, LLC (Don Davis), Hurst, Texas, owner of the above described property, has
requested vacation of the three 60-foot wide combined private drives, taxiways and emergency access
easements to enable expansion of adjacent buildings The easements were initially established by plat
dedication, therefore no acquisition fee is required
Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request. An
acceptable replat has been received
This request is located in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Fort Worth
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds
