AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE
SEWER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,014,867.30 FROM AVAILABLE
FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING A CONTRACT WITH JACKSON CONSTRUCTION LTD
FOR SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION CONTRACT XLIX (49), MAKING THIS ORDINANCE
CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTNE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS.
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 2000-01 and m the Budget of
the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations m the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the
amount of $1,014,867.30 from available funds for the purpose of funding a contract with Jackson Construction LTD for
Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract XLIX (49).
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a
court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or
parts of sections of this ardmance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 14286 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the
same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and
appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly
repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Authorize the City Manager to transfer $1,014,867 30 from the Water and Sewer Operating Fund to
the Sewer Capital Project Fund, and
2 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $1,014,867.30 from available funds, and
3 Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Jackson Construction, Ltd in 'the amount of
$921,867 30 for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract XLIX (49)
DISCUSSION
On March 24, 1998 (M&C C-16691), the City Council authorized the City Manager to execute an
engineering agreement with Wade & Associates, Inc. to prepare plans and specifications for the
reduction of inflow/infiltration in the sanitary sewer Main M-390 drainage area, which included the
design of Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract XLIX (49)
The project consists of the replacement of the following sanitary sewer laterals:
• L-1771 Generally bounded on the north by 32nd Street, on the south by 29th Street, on
the west by Long Avenue, and on the east by Loving Avenue, and
• L-7213 Beginning from the Woodhaven BoulevardlBoca Raton Boulevard intersection,
easterly on Boca Raton Boulevard for 3,471 feet.
The proposed improvements consist of the replacement of approximately 6,300 linear feet of 12-inch
sewer pipe and 2,100 linear feet of an 8-inch sewer pipe
The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICTS 2 and 4, Mapsco 61 D, 62A and 65U
The project was advertised for bid on January 18 and 25, 2001 On February 15, 2001, the following
bids were received

FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that upon approval and completion of recommendation No 1, and
adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the current capital budget,
as appropriated, of the Sewer Capital Projects Fund
