HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 14474ORDINANCE NO. ~ _/ / 7 AN ORDINANCE VACATING, AND EXTINGUISHING MERCANTILE CENTER DRIVE AND A SEGMENT OF MERCANTILE PLAZA DRIVE, HAVING VARIABLE WIDTHS AND LENGTHS AND CONNECTING TO THE EAST LINE OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 WEST, AND CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 1.053 ACRES OF LAND, AND SITUATED IN LOTS 1 AND 2, BLOCK 2D OF THE MERCANTILE CENTER ADDITION AND PART OF THE MARY JOHNSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO 858, FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS SECTION 1. That Mercantile Center Dnve and a segment of Mercantile Plaza Dnve, having variable widths and lengths and connecting to the east line of Interstate Highway 35 West, and containing approximately 1 053 acres of land, and situated in Lots 1 and 2, Block 2D of the Mercantile Center Addition, cabinet B, Shde 2002, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas and part of the Mary Johnson Survey, Abstract No 858, Volume 11752, page 154 of the deed records of Tarrant County, Texas and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street right-of--way and related easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law SECTION 3 That all ordinances or parts of ordinances m conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. The Engineering Department, Real Property Management Division has established an acquisition fee payment of $1 00 The City Plan Commission recommended vacation approval at its November 22, 2000 public hearing Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request. An acceptable replat has been received This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4 FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION The Finance Director certifies that this action will. have no material effect on City funds.
