AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A 15 FOOT WIDE BY 136 FOOT LONG ALLEY,
FACTORY PLACE ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS,
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT a 15 foot wide by 136 foot long alley located between Lot 1-R-1, Block 59 and
Lot 1, Block 60, in the Factory Place Addition and running north of Birchman Avenue,
containing approximately 2,040 square feet, as recorded in Cabinet B, Slide 1932, Plat
Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and
permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated alley right-of-way is hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and afterthe
date of its passage, and it is so ordained `'-r

FIELD NOTES
Field notes for 15-foot alley easement abandonment for Factory Place, Block 59
BEING all of a 15-foot alley easement as shown on the plat recorded in Cabinet `B', Slide 1932,
Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, said easement being more particularly described as follows
BEGINNING at the southeast corner of Lot 1-R1, Block 59, Factor} Place, as recorded in
Cabinet B, Slide 1932, said Plat Records, said point also being the southwest corner of Lot 1,
Block 60, Factory Place as recorded in Volume 204-A, Page 101, Deed Records, Tarrant Count} ,
Texas, said point also being in the north line of Birchman Avenue (a 60' public right-of--way),
THENCE West, along the south line of said Lot 1-Rl, a distance of 15 00 feet,
THENCE North, leaving said south line, a distance of 136 00 feet to a point in the north line
of a 15-foot utility easement,
THENCE East, along said north line, 15 00 feet to a point in the east line of said Lot 1-R1,
THENCE South, along the said east line, 136 00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and
containing 2,040 00 square feet of land more or less

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 15 feet wide by 136
feet long. alley located between Lot 1-R-1, Block 59 and Lot 1, Block 60, in the Factory Place Addition,
and running north of Birchman Avenue, containing approximately 2,040 square feet as recorded in
Cabinet B, Slide 1932, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas
DISCUSSION
Christ Chapel Church of Fort Worth, owners of the above-described property, has requested vacation of
the above described alley to enable facility expansion and parking No utilities exist in the alley and no
other improvements are present. The Real Property Management Division confirms that the applicant
has furnished an in-kind new alley location, with a value in excess of the present alley to be vacated
Reviewing City Departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request. An
acceptable replat has been provided
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7
FINANCIAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that this request will have no material effect on City funds
