AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING AFIFTEEN-FOOT WIDE SANITARY SEWER
EASEMENT , C.K. GLEASON SURVEY TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That an utility easement of approximately fifteen-foot m width and containing
approximately 0.242 acres of land and situated in the C.K. Gleason Survey, Abstract No
559 as recorded in Volume 9016, Page 704, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and
as more specifically described m Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and
extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land m the above described vacated sanitary sewer easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances m conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of rts passage, and it is so ordained.

EXHIBIT A
ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION
OF A SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT
BEING a portion of an existing sanitary sewer easement conveyed to the City of Fort Worth by
instrument recorded in Volume 9016, Page 704, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, located
~n the C.K. Gleason Survey, Abstract No 559, Tarrant County, Texas, being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows y
BEGINNING at a point on the west line of a tract of land conveyed to Hawkins Family Joint
Venture by deed recorded in Volume 14003, Page 517 of said Deed Records, said point bung
S 00°59 44" W, a distance of 386.23 feet from a previously set 5/8 inch capped iron rod (TNP) at
the northwest corner of said Hawkins Tract, said point also being on a curve to the left, having a
radius of 1798 00 feet and a chord bearing and distance of N 85°54'41" E, 421.57 feet;
THENCE easterly, along said curve, through a central angle of 13°27'54", an arc distance of
422.54 feet;
THENCE N 09°40'31" E, a distance of 252 91 feet to a point on the north line of said Hawkins
Tract;
THENCE S 76°49'32" E, with said I~ne, a distance of 15 03 feet;
THENCE S 09°40'31" W, a distance of 246.30 feet to a point on a curve to the left, having a
radius of 1798 00 feet and a chord bearing and distance of N 78°26'39" E, 14 04 feet;
THENCE easterly, along said curve, through a central angle of 00°26'51 ", an arc distance of
14 04 feet;
THENCE S 11 °46 47" E, a distance of I S 00 feet to a point at the beginning of a curve to the
right, having a radius of 1813 00 feet and a chord bearing and distance of S 85°25 31" W, 454 77
feet;
THENCE westerly, along said curve, through a central angle of 14°24'35", an arc distance of
455 97 feet to a point on the west line of said Hawkins Tract;
THENCE N 00°59'44" E, with said line, a distance of 15 O1 feet to the point of beginning and
containing 0.242 acre of land
Bearings are based on the record bearing for the west line of a tract of land conveyed to Hativkins
Family Joint Venture (N 00°.59 '44 " E), recorded in Vol. 14003, Pg ~ 17, D R. T C. T

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 15-foot wide sanitary
sewer easement situated in the C K. Gleason Survey, Abstract No 559, containing approximately 0.242
acres of land, more or less, as recorded in Volume 9016, Page 704, Deed Records of Tarrant County,
Texas
DISCUSSION
Steve Hawkins of Fort Worth, Texas, owner of the above property, has requested vacation of the 15-
foot sanitary sewer easement line No M450 from survey stations 89 and 69, to 96 and 55 Said line
was previously abandoned and relocated No other utilities are located therein The applicant requests
abandonment to enable development of the new proposed subdivision Westview Addition (FP-99-110)
The Engineering Department, Real Property Management Division states that a fee of $1 00 is required
for fee payment. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to
this request. An acceptable replat has been provided
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7
FINANCIAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that this request will have no material effect on City funds
