ORDINANCE NO. ~ y2~ ~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A PORTION OF A DRAINAGE AND UTILITY
EASEMENT, SUMMERBROOK ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID
LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH,
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT the 2 5 foot wide by 107 50 foot long portion of a drainage and utility
easement, containing approximately 269 square feet, and located along the southern
portion of Lot 20, Block 2, Summerbrook Addition, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide
3480, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described in
Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is
vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described partially vacated drainage and
utility easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided
by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed

That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

EASEMENT VACATION
BEING The North 2.50 feet of a 7.50 feet drainage and
utility easement, along the South line of Lot 20,
Block 2, Summerbrook Addition, an addition to the
City of Fort Worth, per plat recorded in Cabinet
A, Slide 3480, Deed Records, Tarrant County,
Texas; and being more particulazly described by
metes and bounds as follows;
COMMENCING at the common Southeast comer of said Lot 20 and
the Northeast corner of Lot 21 of said Block 2,
and also being on the West R.O.W line of
Summerbrook Circle, (a 50.00 R.O.W.); Thence North
00 degrees 04 minutes 40 seconds West along the
common East line of said Lot 20 and West R.0 W
line of said Summerbrook Circle, a distance of
5.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
THENCE South 89 degrees 55 minutes 20 seconds West, 5.00
feet North of and parallel to said South line of

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 2.5 foot wide by
107.50 foot long drainage and utility easement, containing approximately 269 square feet, and located
along the southern portion of Lot 20, Block 2 in the Summerbrook Addition, City of Fort Worth, Texas,
as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 3480, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas.
DISCUSSION
Sandlin Brothers, Joint Venture, of Fort Worth, Texas, owners of the above described property, have
requested the partial vacation of this drainage and utility easement to facilitate the expansion of
buildable area of their lot. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no
objections to this request. A replat is not required
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.
FINANCIAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that this request will have no material effect on City funds.
