HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 14140Ordinance No. ~ AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SEWER CAPITAL PROJECT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $284,777.50 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING A CONTRACT TO STOCKER ENTERPRISES, INC., FOR SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION CONTRACT XLVI (46) PART 3, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS. SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1999-00 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the amount of $284,777.50 from available funds for the purpose of funding a contract to Stocker Enterprises, Inc., for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract XLVI (46) Part 3 SECTION 2. Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 13886 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4 This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the amount of $284,777 50 from available funds, and 3 Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Stocker Enterprises, Inc. in the amount of $253,777 50 for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract XLVI (46), Part 3 DISCUSSION On August 12, 1997 (M&C C-16214), the City Council authorized the City Manager to execute an engineering agreement with Turner Collie & Braden, Inc. to prepare plans and specifications for the reduction of inflow/infiltration in a sanitary sewer main drainage area which included sewer rehabilitation contract XLVI (46) The project consists of the replacement of the following sanitary sewer laterals and main L-1650 Beginning from a point located 150 feet south and 400 feet east of Meadowbrook Drive/Petworth Place, westerly 950 feet, then northwesterly 250 feet; and L-1673/M-126 Beginning from a point located 300 feet north of the Meadowbrook Drive/Chelsea Road intersection, northerly 650 feet, then easterly 250 feet to Martel Avenue, and L-1676 Beginning from a point located 200 feet north of the Meadowbrook Drive/flyers Avenue intersection, then easterly 700 feet.
