AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING PORTIONS OF STREET RIGHTS-OF-WAY, 250
BLOCK OF WEST THIRTEENTH STREET AND 1100 BLOCK OF
SOUTH JENNINGS STREET, S G JENNINGS SURVEY, TO THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT 558 square feet of street rights-of-way encompassing a portion of the
south side of West Thirteenth Street, between South Jennings Street and Monroe
Street, and the west side of South Jennings Street, between Thirteenth Street and
projecting southward approximately 181 9 feet, as situated in the Jennings Survey,
Abstract No 844 an unrecorded plat of Jennings East in the Tarrant County Tax
Assessor's Office, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically
described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the
same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street rights-of-way is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

FOR RIGHT OF WAY VACATION
BEING a tract of land situated in the S. G Jennings Survey, Abstract Number 844, Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas and a portion of West Thirteenth Street and South Jennings Avenue
according to the unrecorded plat of Jennings East as shown in the Tarrant County Tax Accessors
records, Tarrant County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows:
BEGINNING at the point where the south right of way line of East Thirteenth Street intersects the
west right of way line of South JenningsAvenue for the northeast corner of Block 5, Lot 15 of said
Jennings East;
THENCE South 90 Degrees 00 Minutes 00 Seconds West, 194 00 feet with said south right
of way line and the north line of said Block 5 to the point where said south right of
way line intersects the east right of way line of Monroe Street for the northwest
corner of Lot 16 of said Block 5,
THENCE North 00 Degrees 00 Minutes 00 Seconds East, 1 00 feet to a "+" cut in concrete
set;

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating 558 square feet of street
rights-of-way encompassing a portion of the south side of West Thirteenth Street, between South
Jennings Street and Monroe Street, and the west side of South Jennings Street, between Thirteenth
Street and projecting southward approximately 181 9 feet, as situated in the S G Jennings Survey,
Abstract No 844, being an unrecorded plat of Jennings East as shown in the Tarrant County Tax
Assessor's Office, Fort Worth,, Tarrant County, Texas.
DISCUSSION
Fort Worth Telco Center, Ltd of Dallas, Texas, owners of the above-described property, have
requested vacation of the above described portions of street right-of-way to mitigate the encroachment
of an existing building over the respective street right-of-way, and to replat said vacation into the
adjoining property The Real Property Management Division has requested and received payment in
the amount of $3,348 00 as fair market value for the vacation segments Reviewing City Departments
and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request. An acceptable replat has been
provided
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 9
