HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 14443ORDINANCE NO / ~ ~ / 3 AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND EXTINGUISHING A 16 FOOT WIDE BY 196 FOOT LONG ALLEY CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 3,136 SQUARE FEET, AND LYING BETWEEN LOTS 1 THRU 5, GOLDSMITH SUBDIVISION, AND LOTS 5 THRU 7, BLOCK U, GEORGE W ARMSTRONG SUBDIVISION, IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS SECTION 1. That a 16 foot wide by 196 foot long alley containing approximately 3,136 square feet, and lying between Lots 1 thru 5, Goldsmith Subdivision, and Lots 5 thru 7, Block U, George W Armstrong Subdivision, to the City Fort Worth, Texas, as recorded in Volume 106, Page 34 and 68, Plat Records, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described alley is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law SECTION 3 That all ordinances or parts of ordinances m conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4 That this ordinance shall take effect and be m full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. Franklin, Vice-President on behalf of the Tarrant County Hospital District, property owners of the adjacent above-described alley, has requested vacation of the alley to facilitate consolidation of the hospital district's property for expanded development. The alley is to be retained as a utility easement for existing water and sanitary sewer lines, unless otherwise relocated at the applicant's expense The Engineering Department, Real Property Management Division, has determined that an acquisition fee of $1 00 will satisfy the public interest.
