AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY SEGMENTS IN FOSTEPCO
HEIGHTS REVISED ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS;
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the following segments of NE 32"d street and North Main street, as more
specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference
be and the same are vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed and extinguished
A 5-foot by 442 5-foot long street segment of NE 32"d Street containing 2,213 square
feet, and a 10-foot by 35-foot long street segment of North Main Street containing 348
square feet, and located adjacent to Lots 1 R and 3R of Block 72R, both located in
Fostepco Heights Revised Addition, City of Fort Worth, and recorded in Cabinet A, Slide
2029 of the Map Records of Tarrant County, Texas
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public right-of-way is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law, SAVE AND

EXCEPT that easements are retained for any and all existing and prospective utilities as
well as access to the utilities
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

BEING a tract of land lying in the ROW of North Main Street (a 90' ROW), adjacent to the West
property line of Lot 3-R, Block 72-R, Fostepco Heights, a Revised Addition m the City of Fort
Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded m Cabinet A, Slide 2029, Map Records, Tarrant County,
Texas, and being more particularly described as follows
BEGINNING at an iron rod found in the East ROW line of North Main Street, said point also being
the most Westerly Southwest corner of said Lot 3-R,
THENCE N 89° 25' 00" W, 10 00 feet to an iron rod found,
THENCE N 00° 17' 00" E, parallel to and 55 feet from the centerline of North Mam Street, 35 00
feet to a PK nail found,
THENCE S 89 ° 25' 00" E, 10 00 feet to a point m the East ROW line of North Main Street and also
being in the West line of said Lot 3-R and a PK nail found,
THENCE S 00 ° 17' 00" W, parallel to and 65 feet from the centerline of North Main Street, also
being the West line of said Lot 3-R, 35 00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 348

to the South property line of Lot 1-R, Block 72-R, Fostepco Heights, a Revised Addrt)on m the City
of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded m Cabinet A, Slide 2029, Map Records, Tarrant
County, Texas; and being more particularly described as follows
BEGINNING at an iron rod found at the intersection of the West ROW line of North Calhoun Street
(a 55' ROW) with the North ROW line of Northeast Thirty-Second Street, said point also being the
Southeast corner of said Lot 1-R,
THENCE N 90° 00' 00" W, along the South property line of said Lot 1-R, and the North ROW line
of Northeast Thirty-Second Street, 30 00 feet from and parallel to the centerline of said street, a
distance of 442 50 feet to an iron rod,
THENCE S 00 ° 16' 00" W, 5 00 feet to an iron rod,
THENCE S 90° 00' 00" E, 442 50 feet parallel to and 25 00 feet from the centerline of said

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 5-foot by 442.5-foot
long street segment of NE 32nd Street containing 2,213 square feet; and a 10-foot by 35-foot long
street segment of North Main Street containing 348 square feet, and located adjacent to Lots 1 R and
3R of Block 72R, Fostepco Heights Revised Addition, City of Fort Worth, and recorded in Cabinet A,
Slide 2029 of the Map Records of Tarrant County, Texas.
DISCUSSION
TSCA-50 Limited Partnership, owner of the adjacent land, has requested vacation of the street
segments to abate existing building encroachments thereon Reviewing City departments and public
utility companies have indicated no objection to this request, and stipulated the retention of the City
utility easement for the vacated segments A replat has been received and approved and incorporates
the segments into the adjacent property
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2
