AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING FOUR 15-FOOT WIDE ALLEYS, TWO BEING
500 FEET IN LENGTH, ONE BEING 470 FEET IN LENGTH AND
ONE BEING 450 FEET IN LENGTH, CONTAINING A TOTAL OF
28,800 SQUARE FEET MORE OR LESS, AND LYING BETWEEN
HULEN STREET AND SANGUINET STREET, SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 30, SITUATED IN LOTS 1 THRU 5,
BLOCK 1, CHAPEL HILL ADDITION, IN THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH; TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1.
That extinguishing four 15-foot wide alleys, two being 500 feet in length, one
being 470 feet in length and one being 450 feet in length, contaimng a total of 28,800
square feet more or less, and lying between Hulen Street and Sanguinet Street, south of
Interstate Highway 30, situated m Lots 1 thru 5, Block 1, Chapel Hill Addition, to the
City of Fort Worth, Texas, as recorded m Cabinet A, Shde 5863, Plat Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently
closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described alley is hereby released and shall
revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances m conflict herewith are hereby
repealed. ,
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be m full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and rt is so ordained.

Worth according to the plat recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 5863, Plat Records, Tarrant County,
Texas, and having been dedicated in the Chamberlin Arlington Heights First Filling, Volume 63,

and bounds as follows.
COMMENCING at a found Texas Department of Transportation monument with a brass cap most

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating four 15-foot wide alleys,
two of which are 500 feet in length, one is 470 feet long, and one is 450 feet long, containing a
composite of 28,800 square feet (0 661 acres), more or less, situated in Lots 1 thru 5, Block 1, Chapel
Hill Addition to the City of Fort Worth, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 5863, Plat Records, Tarrant
County, Texas (see attached legal description exhibits)
DISCUSSION
Lena Pope Home, Inc. of Fort Worth, Texas, adjacent land owners to the above-described alleys, have
requested vacation of the four alleys to enable consolidation of the property site for new building
construction development. Said alleys contain no surface or sub-surface improvements Appropriate
easements are retained for existing utilities, where applicable The Engineering Department, Real
Property Management Division has determined, and received, an acquisition fee payment in the sum of
$1,843.20 The City Plan Commission has recommended vacation of the alleys at its September 27,
2000, meeting Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to
this request. An acceptable replat has been received
