AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND
EXTINGUISHING A 50 FOOT WIDE BY 125 FOOT LONG
SEGMENT OF WARREN STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, 4500
BLOCK, LYING SOUTH OF EWING AVENUE, CONTAINING
APPROXIMATELY 0.144 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, SITUATED
IN THE RIDGECREST ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1.
That a 50 foot wide by 125 foot long segment of Warren Street Right-of--Way,
4500 Block, lying South of Ewing Avenue, containing approximately 0 144 acres, more
or less, situated in the Ridgecrest Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and as more
specifically described m Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference
be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street nght-of--way is
hereby released and shall revert to the add acent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be m full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

BEGINNING AT A POINT BEING IN THE SOUTH LINE OF EWING STREET AND
BEING THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 1 BLOCK 26 SAID RIDGECREST
ADDITION, AND BEING N 77'51'18" W 264 82 FEET FROM THE

SUBJECT STREET VACATION WARREN STREET (4500 BLOCK), SOUTH OF EWING
AVENUE, RIDGECREST ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS VA-96-029
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 50-foot wide by 125-
foot long public street right-of-way lying south of Ewing. Avenue, containing 0 144 acres, situated in the
Ridgecrest Addition to the City of Fort Worth, and recorded in Volume 388-18, Page 34, Plat Records,
Tarrant County, Texas
DISCUSSION
Melvin R. Hass, Jr , of Fort Worth, Texas, owner of the real estate adjacent to the above-described
property, has requested vacation of the 4500 block of Warren Street, described above, to incorporate
with the adjacent surrounding property to enable the development of the entire property into one lot.
There are no improvements contained therein The Engineering Department, Real Property
Management Division, has requested, and obtained, an acquisition fee from the applicant in the amount
of $750 as payment for said right-of-way The City Plan Commission has previously recommended
vacation of this street. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no
objections to this request. An acceptable replat has been received
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
