AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIALLY FUNDED CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND
BY $120,000 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING
A FIRE ENGINE AND ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT, AND ALL RIGHTS, TITLE,
AND INTEREST IN THE FIRE STATION PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE TT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1999/00 and in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Specially Funded Capital Projects Fund by $120,000 from available funds for the purpose of acquiring a fire
engine and ancillary equipment, and all rights, title, and interest in the fire.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any
reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the
remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and
remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 13886 and all other ordinances and appropriations
amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with
such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances
and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

SUBJECT APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT WITH EAGLE MOUNTAIN VOLUNTEER FIRE
DEPARTMENT FOR PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AND ASSIGNMENT OF
LEASEHOLD INTEREST
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing the estimated receipts and appropriations in
the Capital Projects Reserve Fund by $120,000 from available funds, and
2 Approve the transfer of $120,000 from the Capital Projects Reserve Fund to the Specially Funded
Capital Projects Fund, and
3 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing the estimated receipts and appropriations in
the Specially Funded Capital Projects Fund by $120,000 from available funds, and
4 Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with the Eagle Mountain Volunteer Fire
Department for acquisition of•
a) Afire engine and ancillary equipment, and
b) All rights, title and interest in the fire station located adjacent to the district office of the Tarrant
County Municipal Utility District No 1 (Tarrant County MUD), including without limitation its rights
under a lease agreement with Tarrant County MUD, for a total cost of $120,000
DISCUSSION
In connection with the proposed annexation of property in the Tarrant County MUD, staff has negotiated
an agreement for the acquisition of a fire engine and ancillary equipment from the Eagle Mountain
Volunteer Fire Department (EMVFD) for a price of $90,000
City staff has also negotiated a proposed acquisition of all rights of the EMVFD in and to the fire station
located at 8510 Spring Street, adjacent to the Tarrant County MUD office, for $30,000 This amount
covers all rights of the EMVFD under its lease arrangement with the Tarrant County MUD, as well as
any relocation expenses and/or modification costs necessary by and for the EMVFD
Once the audit of the Tarrant County MUD is completed and assets are transferred to the City of Fort
Worth, a refund will be made to the Capital Projects Reserve Fund
The agreement is conditioned upon the approval of the annexation

FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that upon adoption of the attached appropriation ordinances and
approval of the above recommendations, funds will be available in the current capital budget, as
appropriated, of the Specially Funded Capital Projects Fund The cash balance in the Capital Project
Reserve Fund after this transfer will be $769,558
