AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A TWENTY (20') WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT, GREEN
OAKS ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS,
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT the 20 foot wide by approximately 354 foot long utility easement
containing approximately 7,052 square feet within Lot 2R, Block 2, Green Oaks
Addition, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 4160, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas,
and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and
extinguished
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

20' UTILITY EASEMENT VACATION

BEING a 20' utility easement within Lot 2R, Block 2, Green oaks Addition according to the plat
recorded m Cabinet A, Slide 4160, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, said 20' utility
easement being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows
BEGINNING at a point on the northern line of said Lot 2R, Block 2 Green oaks Addition, said
point also being on the southern right-of--way line of Interstate Highway 30, said point being
73 83' easterly of the northwest corner of said Lot 2R, Block 2 Green Oaks Addrt~on,
THENCE S10°48'58"W a distance of 350 66 feet to a point, said point being on the southerly
line of said Lot 2R, Block 2 Green Oaks Addition, said point also being on the northerly right-of-
way line of Calmont Avenue,
THENCE S88°23'00"W along the southerly line of said Lot 2R, Block 2 Green Oaks Addition
and along the northerly right-of--way I~ne of said Calmont Avenue a distance of 20 48 feet to a
poi nt,
THENCE N10°48'58"E a distance of 354 53 feet to the Point of BEGINNING and containing

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 20-foot wide by
approximately 354-foot long utility easement containing approximately 7,052 square feet within Lot 2R,
Block 2 of the Green Oaks Addition, as recorded in Cabinet A, slide 4160, of the Plat Records, Tarrant
County, Texas
DISCUSSION
Jimmy Steven, owner of the above property has requested the vacation of this utility easement to
facilitate building expansion and parking Reviewing City departments and public utility companies
have raised no objection to this request. A replat is not required
This request is located in the COUNCIL DISTRICT 3
