HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 14165A Ordinance No AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $193,700 SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OF FUNDS FROM DOWNTOWN FORT WORTH, INC. FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE MAINTENANCE OF BURNETT PARK, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS. SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1999-2000 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special Trust Fund in the amount of $193,700 subject to receipt of funds from Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. for the purpose funding the maintenance of Burnett Park. SECTION 2. That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 13540 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except m those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, m which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4 This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY R.g'~ ~a.r-'f" City Att e .~- 3 D - ~ Date °~ u-©o Adopted ~~~~ Effective City of Fort Worth, Texas n-~A~or And Caunc~( C,antmun~cAt~ian DATE REFERENCE NUMBER LOG NAME PAGE 4/11/00 G-12887 80MAINT 1 of 1 SUBJECT ACCEPT CONTRIBUTION FROM DOWNTOWN FORT WORTH, INC FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF BURNETT PARK FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999- 2000 AND ADOPTION OF RELATED APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council 1 Accept a contribution from Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. in the amount of $193,700 to offset one year's operating and maintenance costs for Burnett Park, and 2 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by $193,700 in the Special Trust Fund from available funds DISCUSSION Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. has authorized a contribution to the City in the amount of $193,700 to offset the expenses associated with operating Burnett Park for aone-year period which began October 1, 1999 Payments will be received as follows $96,850 once this M&C is approved, and the remaining $96,850 to be paid by August 1, 2000 The contribution amount covers three seasonal color paintings with all required soil amenities such as fertilizer, peat moss and pesticides, and all park maintenance Also included in the contribution amount are funds to cover water treatment chemicals, mechanical repairs and utilities, as well as special seasonal lighting and winter over-seeding of turf All labor costs associated with the work outlined above are funded by this gift.
