HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 14381Ordinance No. / ~1S AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE WATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $66,260 AND IN THE SEWER CAPITAL PROJECT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $19,820 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING AN ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH APM ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR WATER AND SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT CONTRACT 2000 WSNI-A, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS. SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 2000-01 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $66,260 and in the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the amount of $19,820 from available funds for the purpose of funding and engineering agreement with APM Associates, Inc. for Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 2000 WSM-A. SECTION 2. Should any portion, section or part of a secfion of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 14286 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. Date < ~ -/ 7-00 Adopted /(~-/~ O D Effective City of Fort Worth, Texas ~11~A~ar And Cauncll Ca1r11r1un1cAtlan DATE REFERENCE NUMBER LOG NAME PAGE 10/17/00 **C-18298 30APM 1 of 2 SUBJECT APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AND ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH APM ASSOCIATES, INC FOR WATER AND SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT CONTRACT 2000 WSM-A (WATER AND SEWER MAINTENANCE) RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council 1 Authorize the City Manager to transfer $86,080 00 from. the Water and Sewer Operating Fund to the Water Capital Project Fund in the amount of $66,260 00 and the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the amount of $19,820 00, and 2 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Project Fund in the amount of $66,260 00 and the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the amount of $19,820 00, from available funds, and 3 Authorize the City Manager to execute an engineering agreement with APM Associates, Inc. in the amount of $82,080 for Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 2000 WSM-A (Water and Sewer Maintenance) DISCUSSION The project consists of the preparation of plans and specifications for water and/or sanitary sewer line replacements as indicated, on the following streets • Edgewood Terrace from Wilbarger Street to Rimbey Road (water/sewer), and • Edgewood Terrace from Menzer Court to Kemble Court (water), and • Louis Street from Craig Street to Lancaster Avenue (water), and • Montclair Drive from Normandy Road to Barnett Street (water/sewer), and • Southwest Boulevard from Piedmont Road to Chickering Road (water) APM Associates, Inc. proposes to perform the design work for a lump sum fee of $82,080 Staff considers this fee to be fair and reasonable for the scope of services proposed APM Associates, Inc. is in compliance with the City's M/WBE Ordinance by committing to 26% M/WBE participation The City's goal on this project is 25% The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICTS 3, 4 and 5, Mapsco 65W, 74W, 79A, M and 93A.
