AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE
WATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $61,185 AND IN THE SEWER CAPITAL
PROJECT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,404 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE
OF FUNDING AN ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH WENDY LOPEZ AND ASSOCIATES, INC.,
FOR WATER AND SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT CONTRACT 2000 WSA -C, MAKING THIS
ORDINANCE CUMULATNE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTNE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That m addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 2000-01 and in the Budget of
the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund in the
amount of $61,185 and in the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the amount of $30,404 from available funds for the purpose of
funding and engineering agreement with Wendy Lopez and Associates, Inc., for Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement
Contract 2000 WSA-C.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a
court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way unpair the remaining portions, sections, or
parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 14286 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the
same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and
appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly
repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

SUBJECT APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AND ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH WENDY
LOPEZ & ASSOCIATES, INC FOR WATER AND SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT
CONTRACT 2000 WSA-C (WATER AND SEWER MAINTENANCE)
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Authorize the City Manager to transfer $91,589 00 from the Water and Sewer Operating Fund to the
Water Capital Project Fund in the amount of $61,185 00 and the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the
amount of $30,404 00; and
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Water Capital Project Fund in the amount of $61,185 00 and the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the
amount of $30,404 00, from available funds, and
3 Authorize the City Manager to execute an engineering agreement with Wendy Lopez & Associates,
Inc. in the amount of $87,589 00 for Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 2000 WSA-C
(Water and Sewer Maintenance)
DISCUSSION
The project consists of the preparation of plans and specifications for water and/or sanitary sewer line
replacements as indicated, on the following streets.
• Bankhead Highway from Renzel Boulevard Capua Lane (water), and
• Renzel Boulevard from San Luiz Trail to Bankhead Highway (water), and
• Blueridge Drive from Weiler Boulevard to Dansinger Drive (water and sewer), and
• Dupont Circle from Berkshire Lane to Highland Terrace Square (water and sewer), and
• Moberly Street from Foard Street to Nolan Street (water)
Wendy Lopez & Associates, Inc. proposes to perform the design work for a lump sum fee of
$87,589 00 Staff considers this fee to be fair and reasonable for the scope of services proposed
Wendy Lopez & Associates, Inc. is in compliance with the City's M/WBE Ordinance by committing to
,~'% M/WBE participation The City's goal on this project is 21%

The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICTS 4, 6, 7 and 8, Mapsco 65Y, 65Z, 73N, 92F, 92G and
105A.
In addition to the contract amount, $4,000 is required for water and sanitary sewer project management
by the Engineering Department.
