Ordinance No.
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE
SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $70,061.30 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE
PURPOSE OF FUNDING OPERATIONAL COSTS OF THE FULLER GARDEN THROUGH A
DONATION FROM THE FULLER FOUNDATION, INC., PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND
REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS.
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1998-99 and in the Budget of
the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special Trust Fund in the amount of
$70,061.30 from available funds for the purpose of funding operational costs of the Fuller Garden through a donation from the
Fuller Foundation, Inc.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections,
or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 13540 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the
same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordmances and
appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly
repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

SUBJECT APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AND ACCEPTANCE OF GIFT FROM THE FULLER
FOUNDATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING OPERATIONAL COSTS FOR THE
FULLER GARDEN
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Accept a gift from the Fuller Foundation, Inc. in the amount of $70,061 30 for the purpose of
maintaining the Fuller Garden for a period of 12 months, and
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Special Trust Fund by $70,061.30 from available funds.
DISCUSSION
The Fuller Garden is a 3-1/2-acre garden located west of the Botanic Garden Center and Conservatory
It was a gift from the Fuller Foundation, which has underwritten all maintenance costs since opening to
the garden to the public in 1991
The Fuller Foundation, Inc. has announced a gift of $70,061 30 to the Parks and Community Services
Department, to fund for 12 months the salary and benefits of one Gardener and one Groundskeeper
position, as well as maintenance, supplies, equipment, and utilities to maintain the Fuller Garden The
Foundation has announced its intention to continue the funding of these positions, supplies, equipment
and utilities for the maintenance of this garden The City will collect funds each quarter

FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that upon adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be
available in the current operating budget, as appropriated, of the Special Trust Fund The Parks and
Community Services Department is responsible for the collection and deposit of these funds
