AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE
SEWER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $547,228.25 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS
FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING A CONTRACT TO DAVILA CONSTRUCTION, INC., FOR
SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION, MAIN 7 DRAINAGE AREA, UNIT 2, PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES
AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS.
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1998-99 and in the Budget of
the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the
amount of $547,228.25 from available funds for the purpose of funding a contract to Davila Construction, Inc., for Sanitary
Sewer Rehabilitation, Main 7 Drainage Area, Unit 2.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections,
or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 13540 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the
same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and
appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly
repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Authorize the transfer of $547,228.25 from the Water and Sewer Operating Fund to the Sewer
Capital Project Fund, and
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Sewer Capital Project Fund in the amount of $547,228.25 from available funds; and
3 Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Davila Construction, Inc. in the amount of
$487,228.25 for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation in the Main 7 Drainage Area, Unit 2.
DISCUSSION
On Ju{y 1, 1997 (M&C C-16147), the City Council authorized the City Manager to execute an
engineering agreement with Dunaway Associates, Inc. to prepare plans and specifications for sanitary
sewer rehabilitation in the Main 7 drainage area.
The Unit 2 project- is generally bound on the north by Baltimore Avenue, on the south by Jessamine
Street, on the east by Mississippi Avenue, and on the west by Interstate 35W The proposed
improvements consist of the replacement of approximately 6,000 linear feet of primarily 8-inch sewer
pipe.
The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8, Mapsco 77 P, Q, T, and U
The project was advertised for bid on May 6 and 13, 1999 On June 10, 1999, the#ollowing bids were
received

The Finance Director certifies that upon approval and completion of recommendation 1, and the
adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the current capital budget,
as appropriated, of the Sewer Capital Project Fund
