ORDINANCE NO. ~ '~-~ (~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A 2.5 FOOT BY 10 FOOT UTILITY EASEMENT,
PARK GLEN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS,
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT a 2 5 foot by 10 foot utility easement containing approximately 25 0
square feet, located at Lot 5, Block 57, Park Glen Addition, Phase V, Section 1A, as
recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 3149, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as more
specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference
be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

Being 25 square feet of land situated in the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas and out of that
portion of the James C. Bradford Survey, Abstract No. 140 and being part of Lot 5, Block 57, a final plat of
Park Glen Addition, Phase V, Section lA, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas
according to the plat thereof recorded in Cabinet A, Shde 3149 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas
and being more particularly described as follows; ,
Commencing at a 1~2 inch iron rod found at south corner of said Lot 5 and same being the east corner of Lot 4
of said Block 57,
THENCE North 29 -degrees 56 minutes 21 seconds West with common lot line of said Lot 5 and Lot 4 for a
distance of 7.51 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING,
THENCE North 29 degrees 56 minutes 21 seconds West with common lot line of said Lot 5 and Lot 4 for a

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 2.5-foot by 10-foot
utility easement containing approximately 25 0 square feet, located at Lot 5, Block 57, Park Glen
Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Phase V, Section 1A, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 3149, of the
Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas.
DISCUSSION
R. J Davis, acting on behalf of the owner, has requested vacation of the northwest 2.5 feet of a 1-foot
by 10-foot utility easement to allow expansion of a residential building. A replat is not required
Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this vacation
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4
