ORDINANCE NO. I ~ ~ ~ ~'
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A PORTION OF A 7.5 FOOT UTILITY EASEMENT,
THE HIGHLANDS, PHASE I, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS;
PROVIDING FOR REVERS{ON OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
I SECTION 1.
THAT the north 2 5 foot wide by 140 39 foot long portion of a 7 5 foot utility
easement, containing 350 975 square feet in area located on Lot 5, Block 1, The
Highlands, Phase I, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 2422, Plat Records of Tarrant
County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and
permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated portion of utility
easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating the north 2.5 foot wide
by 140 39 foot long portion of a 7.5 foot utility easement containing 350 975 square feet in an area
located on Lot 5, Block 1, The Highlands, Phase I, Cabinet A, and recorded in Slide 2422, Plat Records
of Tarrant County, Texas for $1 00
DISCUSSION
Manchester Custom Homes, Inc., owner of Lot 5, Block 1, The Highlands, has requested vacation of
the north 2.5 feet of an existing 7 5 foot utility easement. Reviewing City departments and public utility
companies have raised no objection to this vacation A replat is not required
This request is located in the Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) of Fort Worth
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Engineering Department will be responsible for collection and deposit of funds due to the city as a
result of this action
