ORDINANCE NO ~`~~ ~~.
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN UTILITY EASEMENT IN EASTLAND
AVENUE ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING
FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1
THAT vacating an utility easement approximately 530 feet long and 5 feet wide,
containing approximately 2,660 square feet, located on Lot 1, Block 1, Eastland Avenue
Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-113, Page 934 of the Plat Records, Tarrant
County, Texas and out of a tract of land deeded to Oakwood Homes as recorded in
Volume 13727, Page 297 of the Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and as more
specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference
be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described easement is hereby released and
shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law

SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

Legal Description for
Easement Abandonment
Being a 5 foot wide strip of land situated m the J M. Daniel Survey, Abstract 395, Crty
of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and being all of a 5 foot wide Utility Easement as
dedicated on the plat of record known as Lot 1, Block 1,Eastland Avenue Addition, an
addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded m Volume 388-
113, Page 934, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and being a portion of that certain
tract of land as described in deed to Luther M. Parkerson et ux Elizabeth Faye Parkerson ,
as recorded in Volume 9332, Page 235, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and a
portion of that certain tract of land as described in deed to Oakwood Homes Corporation,
as recorded in Volume 13727, Page 297, said Deed Records, and being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows.
Beginning at the northwest corner of said Lot 1, and being on the southerly right-of--way
line of Eastland Avenue, a variable width public right-of--way;
Thence South 89°45'00"East, with the northerly line of said Lot 1, a distance of 5 00 feet;

Thence South 00°37' 15"West,. being 500 feet easterly of and parallel with the westerly -
line of said Lot 1, a distance of 527 86 feet to a point on the southeasterly line. of said Lot y

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating an utility easement
approximately 530 feet long and 5 feet wide, containing approximately 2,660 square feet, out of Lot 1,
Block 1, Eastland Avenue Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-113, Page 934 of the Plat Records,
Tarrant County, Texas and out of a tract of land deeded to Oakwood Homes as recorded in Volume
13727, Page 297 of the Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas
DISCUSSION
Transystems Corporation has requested the vacation of this easement to expand the buildable area of
the site Utility easements will be rededicated by plat in different locations Reviewing City
departments and public utility companies have raised no objection to this request. Are-plat has been
filed with the City for approval t
