AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING MISCELLANEOUS UTILITY EASEMENTS IN
JENNINGS SOUTH ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND,
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS-
SECTION 1
THAT the following utility easements, as more specifically described in the
Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same are
vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
1 A 7 foot 6 inch wide by 50 foot long utility easement in Lot 7R, Block 22, Jennings
South Addition, as recorded in Cabinet B, Slide 302, Plat Records, Tarrant County,
Texas, and
2 A 5 foot wide by 195 foot long utility easement, in Lot 17R, Block 22, Jennings
South Addition, as recorded in Volume 388 -51, Page 29, Plat Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, and
3 A 10 foot wide by 60 foot long and 5 foot wide by 40 foot long utility easement in Lot
17R, Block 22, Jennings South Addition, as recorded in Volume 388 -51, Page 29,
Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described utility easements be hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law

That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating the following
easements
1 Easement A. A 7 -foot 6 -inch wide by 50 -foot long utility easement in Lot 7R, Block 22, Jennings
South Addition, as recorded in Cabinet B, Slide 302, of the Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas,
and
2. Easement B A 5 -foot wide by 195 -foot long utility easement in Lot 17R, Block 22, Jennings South
Addition, as recorded in Volume 388 -51, Page 29, of the Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and
3 Easement C A 10 -foot wide by 60 -foot long and 5 -foot wide by 40 -foot long utility easement in Lot
17R, Block 22, Jennings South Addition, as recorded in Volume 388 -51, Page 29, of the Plat
Records, Tarrant County, Texas
DISCUSSION
Mr Claude Greene, on behalf of the Tarrant County Association for the Blind, requests that the utility
easements be vacated to increase the buildable area of the lot. Reviewing City departments and public
utility companies have raised no objections to vacating these easements A replat has been filed with
the City
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8
