Ordinance No.
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE
SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,000 00 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE
PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE 9TH NEIGHBORHOOD CONFERENCE, PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES
AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS.
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1998-99 and in the Budget of
the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special Trust Fund in the amount of
$8,000 00 from available funds for the purpose of funding the 9"' Neighborhood Conference.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections,
or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 13540 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the
same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and
appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly
repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

NEIGHBORHOOD CONFERENCE PRESENTED BY NEIGHBORHOODS FORT
WORTH PARTNERS FOR PROGRESS
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to
1 Accept donations from Waste Management, Inc. ($4,000), Wells Fargo ($2,000), Chase Bank of
Texas ($1,000), the United Way of Metropolitan Tarrant County ($500), TXU Electric and Gas
($250) and Marcus Cable Associates, L.L.C ($250), and
2 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by
$8,000 in the Special Trust Fund from available funds
DISCUSSION
On Saturday, October 2, 1999, the City participated in the 9th Neighborhood Conference at the Amon
Carter Exhibit Hall in Fort Worth.. The conference was presented by Neighborhoods Fort Worth
Partners for Progress, which includes such co-sponsors as the City of Fort Worth, the United Way of
Metropolitan Tarrant County, the -Fort Worth Independent School District, and the Fort Worth League of
Neighborhood Associations. The purpose of the conference is to improve communication within and
among neighborhoods and City government, as well as to develop community leadership skills
The City acts as the budget coordinator for the event. The City receives individual and corporate
contributions, and then allocates funds for various expenditures required to make the event a success
Such expenditures include workshop facilitator fees, printing expenses, publicity, refreshments, and
decorations
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that upon adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be
available in the current operating budget, as appropriated, of the Special Trust Fund
