AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A FIVE (5) FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT,
WOODHAVEN EAST ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the 5 foot wide by 212 55 foot long utility easement containing
approximately 1,063 square feet, Lot 1, Block 1 A, Woodhaven East Addition, as
recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 1915, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as more
specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference
be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
FOR EASEMENT VACATION
BEING a portion a 5 Foot Utility Easement situated in Lot 1, Block 1A, WOODHAVEN EAST ADDITION, an
addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas according to the plat thereof as recorded in Cabinet
A, Slide 1915 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes
and bounds as follows:
COMMENCING at a 5/8 inch iron rod with a plastic cap stamped "CARTER & BURGESS" found in the
southerly right of way line of Bridge Street for the northwest corner of Lot 2, of said Block 1A and the
northeast corner of Lot 1, of said Block 1A,
THENCE South 21 Degrees 09 Minutes 35 Seconds East, 75.07 feet with an east line of said Lot 1
and a west line of said Lot 2 to a 5/8 inch iron rod found with a plastic cap stamped "CARTER
& BURGESS" found;
THENCE South 05 Degrees 13 Minutes 54 Seconds East, 79.41 feet with an east line of said Lot 1 and
a west line of said Lot 2 to the POINT OF BEGINNING,
THENCE South 05 Degrees 13 Minutes 54 Seconds East, 5.00 feet with an east line of said Lot 1 and
a west line of said Lot 2, to the common southerly comer of said Lots and the south line of
said Block 1A also being the northeast corner of a tract of land described by deed to Myers
Financial Corporation as recorded in Volume 12663, Page 1298 of said deed records and the
northwest corner of a tract of land described by deed to Woodhaven National Bank as
recorded in Volume 12330, Page 885 of said deed records;
THENCE South 89 Degrees 37 Minutes 09 Seconds West, 212.55 feet with the south i?ne of said
BLOCK 1A and a ngrth line of said Myers Financial Corporation tract to a 5/8 inch iron rod
with plastic cap stamped "ANA" found;
THENCE North 29 Degrees 21 Minutes 12 Seconds West, 5.72 feet to a point in the north line of said
5 foot Utility Easement;
THENCE North 89 Degrees 37 Minutes 09 Seconds East, 214.89 feet with the north line of said 5 foot
Utility Easement to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0 025 acres (1070 square
feet) of land, more or less.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 5 foot wide by 212.55
foot long utility easement containing approximately 1,063 square feet in the Woodhaven East Addition,
as recorded in cabinet A, slide 1915, of the plat records of Tarrant County, Texas.
DISCUSSION
Myers Financial Corporation, owner of the above-described property, has requested the vacation of this
easement to allow development of the property Are-plat has been submitted to the City for approval
Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objection to this vacation
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
