AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A TEN FOOT (10') WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT, MIRA
VISTA ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS,
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT the 10 foot wide by 30 foot long utility easement, containing 300 square
feet and being a portion of Lot 9, Block 34, Mira Vista Addition, as recorded in Cabinet
A, Slide 4460, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically
described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the
same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

4460, PLAT RECORDS, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID EASEMENT
BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT A POINT IN THE NORTHWEST RIGHT-OF-WAY UNE OF
LAHONTAN DRIVE (A 50' PRIVATE STREET), SAID POINT BEING AT
THE COMMON CORNER OF LOT 9 AND LOT 10, BLOCK 34, SAID MIRA

SUBJECT UTILITY EASEMENT VACATION (VA-99-013) LOT 9, BLOCK 34, MIRA VISTA
ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating the 10-foot wide by 30-
foot long utility easement containing 300 square feet, and being a portion of Lot 9, Block 34, Mira Vista
Addition, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 4460, of the Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas.
DISCUSSION
Shelley Upchurch, owner of the above property, has requested the vacation of the easement to expand
a building site area. The easement to be vacated, acquired by dedication, contains no utility facilities
Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objection to this vacation
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3

City funds
