AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A PARTIAL STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, WHITE
SETTLEMENT ROAD, RIVERVIEW ESTATES ADDITION, TO THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT a portion of the right-of-way for White Settlement Road, approximately 289
foot long by 35 foot wide, containing 9,801 square feet located in Lots 16A and 17A,
Riverview Estates Addition, First Filing, as recorded in Volume 3886, Page 142, Plat
Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is vacated,
abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2
That the underlying fee to the land in the above described vacated partial street
rights-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent property owner(s) as
provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

FIELD NOTES
Description for a portion of White Settlement Road, and being described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGrN1~lING at a Railroad Spike In the southwesterly line of White Settlement
Road, said spike being the most northerly corner of Lot 17A, Block 1,
RIVERVIEW ESTATES, First Filing, an Addition to the City of Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas, according to the Plat recorded in Volume 3$8-B, Page 142,
Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas,
THENCE North 32 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East a dnstance of 35 07 feet to a
1/2" iron pin set with cap mazked, "AREA SURVEYING", said pin lying in a curve,
concave to the southwest, having a radius of 469 00 feet and a long chord which
bears 284 88 feet, South 43 degrees 42 minutes 34 seconds East;
THENCE Southeasterly along said curve, passing through a central angle of 35
degrees 21 minutes 39 seconds, a distance of 289 45 feet to a 112" iron pin with cap
marked, "AREA SURVEYING" for the most northerly northeast corner of Lot 16A,
Block 1, of sand Riverview Estates,
TI-~NCE South 63 degrees 58 munutes 15 seconds West a distance of 35 00 feet to
the most westerly northeast corner of said Lot 16A, said point lying in a curve,
concave to the southwest, havung a radius of 434 00 feet, and a long chard which
bears 265.59 feet, North 43 degrees 50 minutes 47 seconds West;
'THErTCE Northwesterly along the northeast line of Lots 16A and 17A, of said
Block~l, along the existing southwest line of White Settlement Road, and along said
curve, passing through a central angle of 35 degrees 38 minutes 04 seconds, a
distance of 269 92 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, scud described tract
containing 0.225 of an acre or 9,789 square feet of land.

SETTLEMENT ROAD, LOT 16A, BLOCK 1, RIVERVIEW ESTATES ADDITION, FORT
WORTH, TEXAS
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a portion of the right-of-
way (ROW) for White Settlement Road, approximately 289-feet long by 35-feet wide, and containing
9,801 square feet, located in Lots 16A and 17A of Riverview Estates Addition, First Filing, as recorded
in Volume 3886, Page 142 of the Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas.
DISCUSSION
Mr and Mrs Sewell, owners of the above-mentioned property, have requested vacation of the ROW to
expand the buildable area of the lots. A replat has been filed with the City On March 25, 1998, the
Plan Commission recommended approval of this request. Reviewing City departments and public utility
companies have raised no objection to this vacation
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION.
The Real Property Division of the Engineering Department will be responsible for the collection and
deposit of $2,450 50 due the City under this agreement.
