ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMA'T'ED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT FUND
IN THE AMOUNT OF $583,486 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE
PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FISCAL YEAR 1998-99 FUNDING FOR
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO: 6, PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE
CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL
PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That m addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year
1998-99 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts
and appropriations in the Special Assessment Distract Fund in the amount of $583,486 00 from
available funds for the purpose of funding the public improvements and services for Fort Worth
Public Improvement District No 6
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative
or void for any reason by a court of competent 1urisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment
shall in no way impair the remaining portrons, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance,
which said remammg provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 13200 and Ordinance No 13202 and
all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the
provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict v~nth such other ordinances and appropriations,

in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are
hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect and after the date of its passage,
and rt is so ordained

RELATED APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
Hold a benefit hearing concerning the proposed property assessments for FY 1998-99 for Fort
Worth Public Improvement District No 6 on October 20, 1998, and
2 Close the benefit hearing, and
3 Adopt the attached ordinance which levies the proposed assessments; and
4 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by
$583,486 in the Special Assessment District Fund from available funds.
DISCUSSION
On September 29, 1998, the City Council adopted M&C G-12341, which directed that certain
improvements and/or services ("improvements") shall be provided in Fort Worth Public Improvement
District No 6 during the 1998-99 fiscal year It also adopted the proposed assessment roll and
provided notice of this benefit hearing

The $79,170 difference between total costs and assessments reflects a direct reimbursement from the
City of Fort Worth for park maintenance to the City's standard level
All costs of improvements shall be assessed against private property located in the district and the
owners of the property The City Manager has filed with the City Secretary a proposed assessment roll
and an estimate of the assessments against each parcel

FOR FORT WORTH PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO 6 AND ADOPTION OF
RELATED APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE
Based on the appraised value of fihe property, and considering the benefits to be received from the
proposed improvements, it is the opinion of the City staff that each parcel of property will be enhanced
in value by an amount equal to or more than the proposed assessments upon completion of the
improvements and provision of services in accordance with the PID 6 management contract between
the City and Principal Management Group
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that upon adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be
available in the current operating budget, as appropriated, of the Special Assessment District Fund
