AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A (7.5') WIDE BY (200') LONG UTILITY EASEMENT,
SUMMERFIELDS ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS;
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1
THAT a 7 5 foot wide by 200 foot long TU utility easement, containing 1,495
square feet, located on Lot 25R1, Block 12, Summerfields Addition, as recorded in
Cabinet A, Slide A279 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as more
specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference
be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated TU utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

Legal Description - 7.5' Utility Easement
BEING a 0 034 acre tract of land in the D.E. Norton Survey, Abstract No 1287 situated in the
City of Fort North, Tarrant County, Texas and being a portion of Lot 25R1, Block 12 of the
Summerfields, an addition to the City of Fort Worth recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 4279 of the
Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 5/8" iron pin found at the southeast corner of said Lot 25R1, Block 12, said pin
also being on the west right-of-way line of North Beach Street (1.20' right-of-way);
THENCE N 89°43'23" W along the south line of said Lot 25R1, Block 12, 199.89 feet to the
southwest corner of said Lot 25R1, Block 12, said point also being on the east line of Lot 26,
Block 12 of the Summerfields, an addition to the City of Fort Worth recorded in Cabinet A, Slide
4036 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE N 00°16'37" E along the west line of said Lot 25R1, Block 12 and the east line of said
lot 26, Block 12, 7 50 feet to a point,
THENCE S 89°43'23" E, 198.07 feet to a point on the West right-of-way line of said North
Beach Street, said point also being the Point of Curvature of anon-tangent circular curve to the
right having a radius of 1340 00 feet, a central angle of 00°19'27", a chord bearing of
S 08°13'15" E and a chord length of 7.58 feet,
THENCE along said curve to the right and the West right-of-way line of said North Beach Street,
7.58 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 1495 square feet or 0 034 acres of Iand.

SUBJECT UTILITY EASEMENT VACATION (VA-98-041), IN LOT 25R1, BLOCK 12,
SUMMERFIELDS ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 7 5 foot wide by 200
foot long TU utility easement, containing 1,495 square feet, in Lot 25R1, Block 12, Summerfields
Addition, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide A279 of the Plat Records of the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant
County, Texas.
DISCUSSION
Mobil Oil Corporation, owner of the above described easement, has requested vacation of said
easement for purposes of providing a building site location The easement was acquired by dedication,
and contains no public utilities or facilities therein Reviewing City departments and public utility
companies have raised no objection to this vacation, and no utilities require relocation The proposed
use is intended for vehicle parking in support of a building facility
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a fee of $450 has been established and
received by the City and therefore satisfies the interests of the City
