AISCUSSION Six years ago, the name of the Department of Finance was changed to the Department of Fiscal Services. The name was changed in an attempt to provide a more comprehensive description of the functions and activities assigned to the department. Experience has indicated, however, that "Finance" is more easily understood and descriptive of the assigned functions. FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
