COUCH ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That a portion of Trinity Boulevard consisting of a 120 foot wide by variable length street right-of--way, containing 4 997 acres of land, and located in the G W. Couch Survey, Abstract No 278, Tarrant County, Texas, and being a portion of a tract of land as recorded in Volume 4290, Pag~~S'37; ~~eed Records, Tarrant County, Texas. and as more specifically described in Exhibits Al-3 attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described street right-of--way be hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law SECTION 3. That the City of Fort Worth retains a 30 foot utility easement centered within the right-of--way abandoned hereunder SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed SECTION 5. DISCUSSION Midway Industrial Trust, 3838 Oak Lawn, Dallas, Texas, owner of the surrounding property, has requested vacation of said street and is dedicating a replacement street right-of-way by deed, in another location on the property, so as to create a more acceptable roadway alignment with the current Trinity Boulevard at its intersection with FM Highway 157 The street was acquired by dedication and has not been opened for traffic. It contains a 24-inch water main located in the center of said right-of- way, over which a 30-foot utility easement is to be retained Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objection to this vacation A plat is being prepared to reflect these changes.
