AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE
WATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $141,765 00 AND IN THE SEWER
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $69,790.00 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR
THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING A CONTRACT WITH HENDERSON CONSTRUCTION, LLP, FOR
WATER AND SEWER MAIN REPLACEMENT IN WOODWAY DRIVE, PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES
AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS.
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1997-98 and in the Budget of
the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund in the
amount of $141,765 00 and in the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $69,790.00 from available funds for the
purpose of funding a contract with Henderson Construction, LLP, for water and sewer main replacement in Woodway Drive.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections,
or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 13111 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the
same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and
appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly
repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

WOODWAY DRIVE (TRAIL LAKE DRIVE TO LOOP 820 SERVICE ROAD)
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Authorize the transfer of $211,555 00 from the Water and Sewer Operating Fund to the Watc* Capital
Project Fund in the amount of $141,765 00 and the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the amount of
$69,790 00, and
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Water Capital Project Fund in the amount of $141,765 00 and the Sewer Capital Project Fund in the
amount of $69,790 00, from available funds, and
3. Authorize the City Manager to execute a construction contract with Henderson Construction, LLP, in
the amount of $183,855 00 for water and sanitary sewer line replacements in Woodway Drive (Trail
Lake Drive to Loop 820 Service Road).
The 1993 Capital Improvement Program included funds for the reconstruction of Woodway Drive (Trail
Lake Drive to Loop 820 Service Road) The Water Department has determined that the water and
sanitary sewer lines should be replaced prior to the street reconstruction
The work to be performed under this contract includes the replacement of 1,110 L.F of existing 24" water
line, and 750 L.F of existing 6" sanitary ,sewer lines and related appurtenances.
The project was advertised in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on October 2 and 9, 1997 The following
bids were received on October 30, 1997

The contingency for possible change orders is $9,200 00 Henderson Construction, LLP, Inc., is in
compliance with the City's M/WBE Ordinance by committing to 10% M/VVBE participation The City's goal
on this project is 10%.
In addition to the contract amount, $18,500 00 is required for associated construction inspection and
survey
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 6, Mapst,.o 89R.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon approval and completion of recommendation 1, and
adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the current capital budgets, as
appropriated, of the Water and Sewer Capital Project Funds.
