AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT FUND IN THE
AMOUNT OF $317,1QQ 00 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PROVIDING FISCAL YEAR 1997-98 FUNDING FOR IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO
2, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKIlVG THIS ORDINANCE
CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWTTH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE TT ORDAINED BY THE CTTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1997-98
and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations
in the Special Assessment District Fund in the amount of $317,100 00 from available funds for the
purpose of providing fiscal year 1997-98 funding for Improvement District No 2.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void
for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall m no way
impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining
provisions shall be and remain m full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 12701 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except m those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in
direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting
provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

WORTH PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO 2 AND LEVYING OF ASSESSMENTS
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1997-98
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council take the following actions regarding Fort Worth Public
Improvement District No 2
1 Hold a benefit hearing concerning the proposed property assessments for FY 1997-98
on October 21, 1997, and
2 Close the benefit hearing, and
3 Adopt the attached ordinance which levies the proposed assessments, and
4 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations by 5317,100 in the Special Assessment District Fund from available
funds
DISCUSSION
On September 23, 1997, the City Council adopted M&C G-12009 which directed that certain
improvements and/or services (the "improvements") shall be provided in Fort Worth Public
Improvement District No 2 during the 1997-98 fiscal year It also adopted the proposed
assessment roll and provided notice of this benefit hearing

Security Patrols
City Administration Fee

Homeowners Assoc & Community Events

WORTH PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO 2 AND LEVYING OF ASSESSMENTS
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1997-98
The $8,000 difference between total costs and assessments reflects a direct reimbursement
from the City of Fort Worth for park maintenance
All costs of improvements shall be assessed against private property located in the district and
the owners of the property The City Manager has filed with the City Secretary a proposed
assessment roll and an estimate of the assessments against each parcel
Based on the appraised value of the property, and considering the benefits to be received from
the proposed improvements, it is the opinion of the City staff that each parcel of property will
be enhanced in value by an amount equal to or more than the proposed assessments upon
completion of the improvements in accordance with the contract
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon adoption of the attached appropriation
ordinance, funds will be available in the current operating budget, as appropriated, of the
Special Assessment District Fund
