AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE
WATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,671.50 AND IN THE SEWER
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $33,277.50 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR
THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING A CONTRACT WITH ED WILSON, INC., FOR RECONSTRUCTION
OF RIDGLEA AVENUE AND RELATED WATER AND SANITARY SEWER LINE
REPLACEMENT, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE
CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1996-97 and in the Budget
of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Projects
Fund in the amount of $13,671.50 and in the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $33,277.50 from available
funds for the purpose of funding a contract with Ed Wilson, Inc., for reconstruction of Ridglea Avenue and related water
and sanitary sewer line replacement.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions,
sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and
effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 12629 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending
the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances
and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby
expressly repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Authorize the City Manager to transfer 546,949 00 from the Water and Sewer
Operating Fund to the Water Capital Projects Fund (513,671 50) and to Sewer
Capital Projects Fund (533,277 501, and
2 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund in the amount of 513,671 50 and
the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of 533,277 50 from available funds,
and
3 Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Ed A Wilson, Inc , in the
amount of $264,191 17 for the reconstruction of Ridglea Avenue from Curzon
Avenue to I-30, and related work and sanitary sewer line improvements
DISCUSSION
The 1993 Capital Improvement Program included funds for the reconstruction of Ridglea
Avenue from Curzon Avenue to I-30 The street has previously been constructed to City
standards Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds will not provide a portion
of the construction costs There are no assessments against adjoining properties
The street improvements include the construction of standard concrete pavement,
driveway approaches and sidewalks where shown on the plans Water and sanitary sewer
replacements will also be made
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3, Mapsco 74-K and L
The project was advertised on September 12, 1996 and September 14, 1996 The
following bids for the project were received on October 3, 1996'

The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon completion of recommendation 1, and
the adoption of the attached appropriations ordinance, funds will be available in the
current capital budgets as appropriated, of the Water and Sewer Capital Projects Funds
and the Street Improvement Fund
