HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 13031Ordmance No ~~ AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE WATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $257,183 00 AND IN THE SEWER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $62,308.10 FROM INCREASED REVENUE FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING A CONTRACT WITH MCCLENDON CONSTRUCTION CO., INC., FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF ASTER AVENUE, HONEYSUCKLE AVENUE, AND DALFORD STREET, AND RELATED WATER AND SEWER LINE REPLACEMENTS, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS. SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1996-97 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $257;183 00 and in the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $62,308.10 from increased revenue for the purpose of funding a contract with McClendon Construction Co., Inc., for reconstruction of Aster Avenue, Honeysuckle Avenue, and Dalford Street, and related water and sewer line replacements. SECTION 2. Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opimon or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 12629 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except m those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4 This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY • l ~~~ Assis ty Attorney Tlata City of Fort Wordy Texas Mayor and Council Communication 06/10/97 **C-16089 30ASTER 1 of 3 SUBJECT APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCES AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO McCLENDON CONSTRUCTION CO , INC ,FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF ASTER AVENUE (MAPLE LEAF STREET TO BLUEBONNET DRIVE), HONEYSUCKLE AVENUE (BLUEBONNET DRIVE TO SYLVANIA AVENUE), AND DALFORD STREET (OAKHURST SCENIC DRIVE TO TOWNSEND STREET), AND RELATED WATER AND SEWER LINE REPLACEMENTS RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council 1 Authorize the City Manager to transfer 5319,491 10 from the Water and Sewer Operating Fund to the Water Capital Projects Fund in the amount of 5257,183 00 the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of 562,308 10, and 2 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund in the amount of 5257,183 00 and the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of 562,308 10 from increased revenue, and 3 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by 51,880 00 in the Special Assessments Fund from available funds, and 4 Authorize the transfer of 51,880 00 from the Special Assessments Fund to the Street Improvements Fund, and 5 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by 51,880 00 in the Street Improvements Fund from available funds, and 6 Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with McClendon Construction, Co ,Inc , in the amount of 5731,409 48 for the reconstruction of Aster Avenue.
