ORDINANCE NO. ~ 3I30
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING STREET RIGHTS-OF-WAY AND PUBLIC OPEN
SPACE EASEMENT, EVANS-PEARSON WESTWOOD ADDITION AND
K. M. VAN ZANDT'S ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND,
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1
THAT the following street rights-of--way and public open space easement,
located in Evans-Pearson Westwood Addition and K. M Van Zandt's Addition, and as
more specifically described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and
extinguished
1 A 6,081 square foot section of right-of--way dedicated for W Fifth Street as it
extends from the east line of Greenleaf Street approximately 113-feet. The
subject right-of-way is situated on Lot A-1, Block 16, Evans-Pearson Westwood
Addition as recorded in Volume 388-123, Page 56, Plat Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, and Lot A, K. M Van Zandt's Addition as recorded in Volume
388-6, Page 124, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and,
2 A 20', x 20' Public Open Space Easement containing 199 square feet situated on
Lot A-1, Block 16, Evans-Pearson Westwood Addition as recorded in Volume
388-123, Page 56, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street rights-of-way and
public open space easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner
as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating the following
street right-of-way anra easement
1 A 6,081 square foot section of right-of-way dedicated for W Fifth Street as it extends
from the east line of Greenleaf Street approximately 113-feet The subject right-of-way is
situated on Lot A-1, Block 16, Evans-Pearson Westwood Addition as recorded in Volume
388-123, Page 56, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and Lot A, K M Van Zandt's
Addition as recorded in Volume 388-6, Page 124, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas,
and,
2 A 20' x 20' Public Open Space Easement containing 199 square feet situated on Lot A-1,
Block 16, Evans-Pearson Westwood Addition as recorded in Volume 388-123, Page 56,

DISCUSSION
T A Huston, owner of the subject property, has requested that the City vacate the above
described street right-of-way and Public Open Space Easement in order to facilitate the
construction of a parking lot on the subject property The subject right-of-way and easement,
acquired by dedication, do not contain any existing utilities Reviewing City departments and
private utility companies have raised no objections to this request A satisfactory replat has been
submitted This request was recommended for approval by the City Plan Commission on June
25, 1997
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 9
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a $19 90 fee satisfies the interest
of the City of Fort Worth in this request
