AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A TWO FOOT (2') WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT, TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION
OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS•
SECTION 1.
THAT the easement vacating the south 2 feet of a utility easement containing
142 7 square feet in area as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 1303, Plat Records of Tarrant
County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A .attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and
permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

SUBJECT EASEMENT VACATION (VA-97-046) 2-FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT
RECOMMENDATION.
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating the south 2 feet of a
utility easement contauung 142 7 square feet in area as recorded m Cabinet A, Slide 1303
DISCUSSION.
Mr Bill Sterback, owner of the subject property, has requested that the City vacate the above
described utility easement to elinunate an encroachment by a swimming pool. The portion of the
subject easement to be vacated, acquued by dedication, contains no urility facilities. Reviewing City
departments and private utility companies have raised no obJechons to this request. A replat is not
required for this request.
This request is located m COUNCIL DISTRICT 3
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION.
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee satisfies the interest
of the City of Fort Worth m this request.

It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating the south 2-feet of a
utility easement containing 142.7 square feet in area as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 1303
DISCUSSION
Mr Bill Sterback, owner of the subject property, has requested that the City vacate the above described
utility easement to eliminate an encroachment by a swimming pool The portion of the subject
easement to be vacated, acquired by dedication, contains no utility facilities. Reviewing City
departments and private utility companies have raised no objections to this request. A replat is not
required for this request.
The easement is located at 6728 Clear Spring Drive, in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3
