AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A TEN FOOT (10') WIDE DRAINAGE EASEMENT TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION
OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. ,
THAT the drainage easement measuring 10 feet in width and 688 feet in length,
as recorded in Volume 2427, Page 559, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and
as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and
extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated drainage easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating a drainage easement
measuring 10-feet nn width and 688-feet nn length as recorded m Volume 2427, Page 559, Deed
Records, Tarrant County, Texas.
DISCUSSION:
Con-Way Truckload Services, Inc., owner of the subject property, has requested that the City vacate
the above described drainage easement. The subject easement, acquired by dedication, contains no
utility facilities. Reviewing City departments and prnvate utility companies have raised no objections
to thus request. A replat ns not requnred for thus request.

FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee satisfies the interest
of the City of Fort Worth m this request.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
UTILITY EASEMENT VACATION
BEING a 10 foot wide strip of land located in the J. M. DANIEL SURVEY,
Abstract No. 395, Tarrant County, Texas, and being the same 10 foot wide
right-of-way easement conveyed to Tarrant County for a drainage easement
recorded in Volume 2427, Page 559 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County,
Texas. Said 10 foot strip of land being 5 foot on either side of the
following described centerline:
BEGINNING at a point in the East right-of-way line of Carey Street, said
point also being in the West boundary line of Lot 1, Block 1
Merchants Addition, an addition to the City of Fort Worth,
according to the plat recorded in Volume 388-111, Page 81 of the
Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas and lying N 00° 34' 12" W
638.70 feet from the Southwest corner of the aforesaid Lot 1,
Block 1; -
THENCE EAST 688.00 feet departing the East right-of-way line of Carey
Street and the West property line of said Lot 1, Block 1 to a point
at the end of said easement. Said easement being 10 foot wide and
688 feet long and containing 6,880 square feet of land.
